The performances featured on this DVD were filmed at that studios of KQED TV in April 1967, just weeks before the band made their barnstorming appearance at the legendary Monterey Pop Festival.  The songs are interspersed with short interviews with Janis and the other band members, all in excellent sound and picture quality for the era.

As an added bonus there is current interview footage of Sam Andrew, Peter Albin, Dave Getz and James Gurley.  This is the last interview James gave prior to his passing in December 2009.
