The outer edges are made from Carbon fiber in a vacuum bagging process with a clear gel Coat finish, while the center upper portion/ scoop is handlaid fiberglass in colored gelcoat. The hoods outer most horizontal surface appx 16"+/- on the Left & right portion (closest to the fenders) of the hood scoop ONLY is Carbon while the balance can be painted any color.This is the same as our fiberglass G5 T/A hood except Carbon on the lower portion front to back of the hood . Carbon hood is an exclusive G5 design. All T/A hoods are PRE-ORDERS as the manufacturing takes 210 - 15 business days due to additional work flow and cure time) for your hood. Manufactured from all hand -laid composite Fiberglass materials , this is a one piece hood ( no goofy bolt on non functional hood scoop) true to 1970 T/A Challenger styling and character lines. Partial Carbon Hood arrives unpainted Gel Coat hood scoop while the balance is clear coated Carbon ( will require automotive clear and a 1/4 inch black painted border around the outer edge of the hood for a clean finished look). The underside of the hood scoop is molded with a cut out for full air flow with a direct ram air effect onto the top of the engine. Optional 2 water jet cut aluminum air intake screens are availabel see cart for details. The scoop is the same dimensions as a 70 TA only with more precision refinements for centerline ,and correct angles. * Based on your level of "Perfect" and what "bolt on means" - This hood MAY REQUIRE fitment and body work by an experienced fiberglass technician . As much as 1 hour for an experienced Vette / Viper bodyman or as much as 4 hrs for a production dealer or street-corner bodyshop (not including body color paint and preparation time).

Packing- This is shipped in a custom built box NOW SHIPPED IN A BOX. This is a box made by Beau's Crates Tempe AZ rated at 275lbs of crush weight and is shipped UPRIGHT. This parts ships to to lower 48 states only no Non USA sales at this time ( If you are in Canada please call for shipping instructions as you must act as the importer/shipper via X Works).
Factory Pickup - there is a $100.00 Factory pick up fee assessed to all hoods.
NOTE: This is Large Ground freight boxed with extensive packing materials. Please allow 3 -10 days delivery since this is an oversize item. We are NOT in the shipping business we use CEVA Logistics for all our shipping with a Tracking number. Shipment must be delivered to a business address only with 2 or more people to unload a shipping dock or a forklift at receiving end. Made of Composite Fiberglass materials this is a one piece hood. The Hood will arrive unpainted in colored and clear Gel Coat ONLY and will require bodywork which must be completed only by expert fiberglass professionals ( such as a Corvette shop) to be accurately fit to your Challenger . This requires primer and repeated block sanding and re-primed prior to painting for a superior fit and finish. NO FIBERGLASS WORK REQUIRED. Shipping and packing costs are added during the checkout process "Prior" to payment so you know how much to expect to pay.
