Eat Me Keep Me Fancy Fondants Summary

This series of diminishing porcelain ladies ooze with an enticing icing like glaze and are finished off with the application of coloured foil sweet wrappers. The accompanying vintage sweetie jar holds more enticing treats in the form of various porcelain 'chocolates' and several more of the tiniest of the little ladies, all swaddled in coloured foil.

The Eat Me; Keep Me series focuses on the notion of self indulgence. In exploring the parallels between ‘valuable’ and ‘everyday’ I have drawn a symmetry of opposites between porcelain and confectionary items; both are similarly self indulgent, inspire desire and are coveted, but both are fundamentally frivolous.
