Ventura EP - One of many musical projects by Edmund Xavier (Teenage Panzerkorps, Horrid Red, et al), FWY! is inspired by the intricate and endless Southern California Freeway grid, its various routes and names, and driving in particular. With titles like 177 FWY, State Route 905, and 330 AM, FWY! is Xavier's musical interpretation of spending time behind the wheel; repetitive and monotonous instrumentals with hints of changing melodies and textures, white line-fever interpreted in sound a.k.a. true California Autobahn music.
On side A of the Ventura EP are three compositions for getting there fast, pedal to the metal cruising in the fast lane style, the freeway all yours. The car might be shitty, but it has nice speakers.
On side B it gets dark. You're driving through the desert late at night and the headlights are flickering from a bad soldering.
