The bed spread is of cotton material found in Tanzania. It is made and decorated by one of the women (Teddy) who attended MIKITA courses in Dar Es salaam - 2009.
The group of women can make a variety of products including tie & dye materials, and sewn products. Their aim is to earn a sustainable income every month so as to be able to take care of their dependants and become financially independent. This is very important to them because they have no other legal means to earn an income and their livelihood depends on what they earn by selling the products.
