Serralves is a unique refrence within Portugal's landscape gardening history. Serralves Park, that was opened to the public in 1988, constitutes a significant contribution of educational and rasing social awareness concerning the importance of protecting landscape heritage and the nedd to conciliate haritage space with cultural manifestations and processes determined by contemporary society.
