Product Description

Reddish-yellow spicy oil, squeezed from mustard seed, appeared in the human diet five centuries before the beginning of our era. It was first mentioned in the ancient Indian Vedas. The product was known in different parts of India under many names - "sarson", "sarsay", "paradise", "kadugenna". In China, South Asia and Africa, it was used as a dressing for vegetable, meat and fish dishes, as well as as a medicine and aphrodisiac.

First of all, it must be said that it is very important that during the extraction process the oil is not subjected to heat treatment and does not come into contact with the metal. We squeeze our oils by cold pressing (pressing) on wooden equipment (oak, ash). It is this type of spinning process that is the most gentle and allows you to save all the useful minerals and trace elements of the feedstock in the final product.

The key difference between the product and popular cooking oils is a high level of polyunsaturated fatty acids. These substances prevent early brain aging and support healthy vessels and heart. Oily squeezed mustard seeds are 81% poly and monounsaturated fats.

Mustard oil contains 7-14% saturated eicosanoic acid, 8-12% irreplaceable linolenic, 14-19% linoleic, 2-30% oleic, 11-53% eruca. The chemical composition directly depends on the plant variety. Moreover, monounsaturated fatty acids, as a rule, account for 60%, and polyunsaturated fatty acids - 21%.

In addition to mustard essential oils, antioxidants were found in the product, which prevent the rancidity of fats and increase its preservation for up to 12 months.

In the 70s, the negative effect of erucic acid on the state of the cardiovascular system, which worsened the nutritional benefits of the oil, was proved. So new varieties of mustard (low erucic and non-erucic) were developed, containing a maximum of 5% of a dangerous compound (we use these types of mustard for the production of oil). In addition to vitamins A (0.15 mg), E (9.2 mg) and phosphorus (2 mg), phytosterols, chlorophyll, phytoncides, isothiocyanates, and synegrin have powerful bactericidal and antitumor effects in the oil. In 100 ml of mustard concentrate, 898 kcal, 99.8 g of fat and only 0.2 g of water are concentrated.

The main health benefits of the product are a large amount of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. Thanks to them, mustard seed oil gives the body 8 unique benefits:

  • Support for cholesterol balance. Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids reduce the amount of bad cholesterol in the blood and prevent its accumulation in the arteries. Moreover, they increase the level of good cholesterol, protecting the heart and blood vessels.
  • Stimulation of digestion. Mustard oil improves appetite by speeding up the secretion of gastric juice and bile.
  • Anesthesia. Mustard glycosides relieve joint and muscle pain, and omega-3 fatty acids reduce inflammation.
  • Improving blood circulation. When rubbed into the skin, a burning product enhances the flow of blood to the skin and muscles, helping to eliminate toxins.
  • Cleansing the airways. The warming effect of the oil allows you to get rid of sputum during coughing and chest congestion.
  • Destruction of fungi and bacteria. The allyl isothiocyanate compound included in the oil actively fights cutaneous fungi. Burning substances of mustard kill Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Staphylococcus aureus, Listeria.
  • Brain activation. Fatty acids improve memory and attention.
  • Cancer Prevention. Linolenic acid prevents the occurrence of malignant tumors in the stomach, ovaries, prostate and duodenum.
