The original and still the best DVD presentation of the Pierre Vigny method of “Walking Stick Self Defense”
By the late 1800s Pierre Vigny created arguably one of the most complete and effective European stick fighting systems ever devised. During the early to mid- twentieth century a number of military, police and martial arts establishments utilized the Vigny system for their own use. These groups included the Kapap and Palmach Special Forces along with the inclusion in a 1940s supplemental manual for the United States H2H combat teams.
During the early 1920s Superintendent H. G. Lang of the Kathiawar Agency Police introduced a training syllabus for his men based on the Vigny method. Over the course of time this syllabus would become the standard method of stick fighting for the Indian Police Force.
In volume 1, La canne and savate instructor Craig Gemeiner reveals the long forgotten techniques of this amazing art and presents detailed instructions in its fundamental skills.
While professionally edited the film quality of la canne volume-1 is not studio quality. Dont let this put you off as la canne volume -1 is without doubt one of our most sought after DVDs. If youre after a gold mine of information on the Vigny and Lang method of stick fighting this is the DVD for you.
