Master of Self Propelled Vessels Less Than 100 GT
This is an information-packed maritime training course ideal for anyone else who is on U.S. federal navigable waters in a power driven or sail vessel with passengers for hire.
Course covers the all topics required for a tonnage specific license. Depending on your sea service you can apply for a 25, 50, or 100-ton Master's license. This license allows you to operate both inspected and uninspected vessels. A Near Coastal Master's License allows you to operate up to 200 miles offshore. You must be a U.S. Citizen to hold a Master's License.
IMPORTANT NOTE: You must have 720 days of sea time for the Master Near Coastal License
Session I (OUPV) includes course materials, instruction, four proctored exams and Certificate of Completion. 52 hours.
Session II (Master) includes course materials, instruction, proctored 50-question exam and Certificate of Completion. 20 hours.
