RADAR Observer Re-certification Course

This 1 day course is required to be taken at least every 5 years for all deck officers to renew the RADAR Endorsement on their Merchant Mariner Credential. This course utilizes both classroom learning and computer simulation.  

THIS CLASS CAN BE HELD IN APPLETON, WISCONSIN or CHICAGO, ILLINOIS

Subjects Include:

Radar Transfer Plotting

Rapid Radar Plotting Techniques

Any applicant who successfully completes the Radar Observer Recertification course will satisfy the training requirements of 46 CFR 11.480(f) for maintaining the endorsement of Radar Observer
