Steps to Configure Yahoo Mail in the Gmail Android App
1.) Open the Gmail App by tapping its icon on your Android device. If you don’t have Gmail app installed on your Android device, you can download it from the Google Play Store. Once installed, sign in to the app using your Google account user id and password.
2.) Now, in the Gmail app, tap on the Menu bar icon (three horizontal lines) located on the top left corner of the Gmail window. Under the menu bar tap on the down icon located next to your Gmail address.
3.) Tap on the Add account option. You will be directed to a new window. Here you will see the name of multiple email services providers.
4.) Locate the Yahoo option in the list and tap on it. Wait until the next screen loads. Once loaded, you will be prompted to enter your Yahoo Mail user id. Tap Next button after you have entered.
5.) Next, you will be prompted to enter your password. After entering your Yahoo Mail account password, tap on the Sign in button. Wait until the process gets complete.
6.) On the next screen, as you might be signing in for the first time in your device, you may be prompted to verify yourself as the owner of the account by fulfilling any of the one given options on the screen. These options generally include a phone number and email address.
7.) Select any one of the options (email address or phone number) to receive an Account Key on the chosen option.
8.) On the next screen, you will be asked to enter the Account Key and tap on the Verify button. Once the Account Key gets verified, you will be directed to the next screen.
9.) On the next screen, you will be asked to allow Gmail apps to have access to your Yahoo Mail and Profiles. Tap Agree button to allow Gmail app to have access.
10.) Then, you may be prompted to set the Sync frequency on the subsequent screen. Set it according to your preference and tap Next. You will get a success message. Simply enter your name and tap Next to complete the configuration process.
After successfully configuring your Yahoo Mail in Gmail Android app, you will be able to easily access your Gmail and Yahoo Mail account easily from the Gmail app only.
