DVD 1
USA - This journey goes through the west of the United States. We are travelling straight across the Rocky Mountains by train. High mountains, cowboys, breathtaking views and gold mines. This will be the ingredients of our journey through part of the state of Colorado. We also travel along the West Coast of California, a magnificent tour in which we’ll visit Hollywood and walk the Walk of Fame.

USA - We take you to the Southwest of the United States, to the state of Arizona. We’ll be travelling through a vast and ancient landscape with the Grand Canyon as the indisputable climax.
We also travel with Amtrak through Washington State on the west coast of the United States. We travel from Olympia, by way of Tacoma and Seattle, on our way to the San Juan Islands.

Canada - On the Rocky Mountaineer we travel through the State of British Columbia in the outmost West of Canada. The train leads to places that are inaccessible to cars and provides a view of mighty canyons, wild rivers and densely wooded valleys. From the spectacular landscape of the Rocky Mountains we easily cross over to a modern city like Vancouver. We then head through southeast Canada. By way of Montreal and Toronto we’re heading for Canada’s greatest natural wonder: Niagara Falls.

Brazil - From Sao Paulo we work our way inland through the state that bears the same name. In the state of Paraná wewill make our way to the coast.
Cuba - An impressive journey through this country of the revolution with its white beaches, green interior, dancing population and, of course, its cigars.
Mexico - Economically orientated towards North America, but also a country where the people have that typically South American warmth.

Peru - Over the Andes by rail, looking for the old Inca culture. These are the ingredients for this train journey through the South-American country of Peru.
Ecuador - Travelling to the centre of the world. Ecuador is situated exactly on the border separating the Northern and Southern Hemisphere. It is not just the country of Indians but also the country of beautiful nature. By rail, a fascinating view passes before us. From the capital city of Quito, we travel in a southerly direction across the Sierra plain along the Andes mountain chain.

Australia - This immense continent has much to offer to its visitors. Not only do we see some beautiful nature, we also travel in several very special trains. During the four thousand mile journey we make some beautiful excursions. The trail leads us right through mountains and deserts and offers the most extraordinary prospects. It is the ultimate ride for train lovers. The Indian Pacific rides from the east coast to the west coast. Our starting point is Sydney.

Australia - We travel through the states of New South Wales and Queensland. From the coastal city Sydney we travel to the dense rainforest of Kuranda. We will also board three historic trains in Australia. Going from Alice Springs in the north, we will travel southwards to Melbourne.

New Zealand - Rail Away tracks through New Zealand by train on one of the most famous railways in the world: The Tranz Alpine. It was here where more than 1,000 years ago the Polynesian Maoris were the first to set foot.
Next we make two journeys by train over the North island. Starting point is Auckland.
