Becky is an eleven year old girl struggling with the physical effects of growing up, with looking after her younger brother who has autistic spectrum condition, and with losing her mother. But at least she has her father...until he brings home a new woman. This very relatable book had me smiling and in tears, sometimes both at the same time. The characters are beautifully delineated, and the story is one that will speak to girls everywhere. Highly recommended!
