This product integrates the Elk M1 Alarm system into SmartThings.
The product is based on a ESP chip because it can take multiple voltage inputs and is reliable to hold connections and forward on JSON strings. The hardware is either based on a NodeMCU board for Ethernet connection to your alarm, or a Wemos D1 R2 board for Serial connection to your alarm.
The NodeMCU (Ethernet) kit will connect through your WiFi in order to enable smart control of the alarm.
The Wemos (Serial) kit will include the right cable to connect to your alarm aswell as the voltage conversion kit. The serial kit includes an RS232 converter which will connect to the RS232 connection on your Elk alarm.
