This original English-language version of the film with optional English subtitles has never been available on DVD before. A German-language version of the film was released on DVD in 2005 and was called Wenn Das Herz Spricht (When The Heart Speaks). As well as having a German soundtrack (only), Wenn Das Herz Spricht also had some scenes either cut or shortened, so it was not giving you the complete film. The translation was not true to the original, either.
The So Little Time DVD includes the Original 4:3 English-language film plus a new 'stretched' Widescreen 16:9 version. Optional English subtitles also included.
The DVD is available in both PAL and NTSC formats.

In Belgium, during World War II, a young music student (Maria Schell) and her mother are the only ones left of a large family, the men having all been lost in the war against Germany. Their chateau is partially taken over by the German Military Commandant (Marius Goring). The girl, Nicole, has an intense hatred for the Germans and tells the Commandant, Hohensee, so. When they discover that they have a mutual interest in music, especially the piano, they come to know each other better and fall in love. They know that it is an impossible situation - especially for the girl who is forced by the underground to steal documents and information from him - and realise that their romance can only end in tragedy.
