The Chapel of Trinity was completed in 1694 and is a work by Henry Aldrich a polymath and one time Vice Chancellor who also wrote music and a book on logic. His other architectural works are All Saints Church on the High and Peckwater Quad at Christ Church. He is said to have consulted Wren over the Chapels design and it does have something of the light simple classicism of some of the City Churches, maybe its the huge and plain semi circular headed windows. The chapel is far more ornate inside, and the Gatehouse section of the composition also contains its fair share of idiosyncratic Baroque like decoration. Peckwater Quad on the other hand is an essay, and a very early one, in Palladianism, the style of the Georgian Whigs, and would not look out of place in Bath. All Saints is a heavier Classicism with paired columns and a tower by Hawksmoor. The builder here at Trinity was Bartholomew Peisley whose family firm also worked on Blenheim Palace.
